Constructor's and Drivers championships closer than you'd think

Having updated, finally, my constructors' and drivers' championships to Hungary (remember they don't take any account of Bahrain considering it as non-championship and non-points scoring) it's interesting to note that there are minor variations which are telling.

In looking at the championships 11 races in, RBR are out in front in Constructors' and Alonso in Drivers', however in the Constructors' this is no way an insurmountable obstacle leading Ferrari by 27 points; No mean feat given Massa's absence from the races up until recently.

This contrasts with the Formula One table where the RBR lead over McLaren in second is 53, with Lotus one point behind them and Ferrari trailing in Fourth on 189 (without looking at the official table work out the stats from that!).

In the (-) Bahrain Constructors' Championship the line up is RBR, Ferrari, McLaren, Lotus, with the rest lining up as per the official championship table.  This really shows the fantastic effort of Alonso to keep the Prancing Horse in the race (and Nadgers - as I call him to annoy his devoted fans - is not in my favourite 5 drivers on the grid).  Lotus have closed the gap to McLaren to only 16, having outscored them in the last three races 66 pts to 41pts.

The (-) Bahrain Drivers' Championship has certain glaring differences with Hamilton in 2nd behind Nadgers, Webbo 3rd followed by Kimi and then Vettel.  The only other difference is that Bruno Senna is ahead of Massa and Di Resta.  Vettel is a point behind Kimi and 61 off Alonso in first.  Alonso has 158 points, 45 ahead of Hamilton who is 2 ahead of Webber. This compares to Webber 40 points behind in the official leaderboard, Vettel 42, and Hamo 47.

Nobody is out of the title race yet but it would be easy to begin to discount Vettel and Kimi 60 points behind with 9 races to go.
